This Bridal Session at Lost Mission in San Antonio, TX, is one of my favorite sessions ever. There’s something about the hill country light that doesn’t just fill the space, it envelopes it. It casts a glow all it’s own, generous and warm, even when the temperature isn’t. That’s exactly what occurred on this day.
Kayla, now Mrs. Hoffman, was a dream. She’s not just a beautiful person, she’s a beautiful soul. From the first time we met, she wasn’t shy about her faith, her love for Dave and her deep connection to her family. During her bridal session, both of her parents came to celebrate this moment. I couldn’t help but notice how kind and affectionate her parents were toward each other and toward their daughter. It warmed my heart deeply.
This past Saturday, I photographed Kayla and Dave’s wedding. And I can honestly say, it was a room full of joy, celebration and love. It was the perfect way for a couple to begin a life together and I’m so honored to have been there.
Kayla… thank you. You were exquisite and an absolute joy to photograph.
For anyone who is still reading this… in case you were curious, yes, you just saw two dresses. Kayla had one for the ceremony and one for the reception. And… she wore the veil over her face down the aisle. Yup… it made me cry.
With gratitude,
Kate
