These are the grounds.
Where they met. Ran around as school aged kids.
Carried books, laughed, went to basketball games.
This is also where they worshipped and listened to their Father’s teach and preach.
Holly’s Father, a Senior Pastor. Austin’s Father, a Missionary.
From the early days, these two shared faith, shared community and eventually…
shared love.
It didn’t take Austin long. Story goes, he took one look at her in high school and that was enough for him.
But he waited. Old fashioned it may seem, he courted her.
Respecting their parents wishes, these two waited till their wedding day to share their first kiss.
So, you’ll see the joy that abounds, when they said “I do.”
Their wedding day started early, with bright beautiful light, Spanish Moss and palm trees.
This was my first Florida wedding.
I do so hope it won’t be my last.
Meet Mr. and Mrs. Austin Smith.
Silk flowers hold special meaning to this family.
Holly’s grandmother, one time a wedding coordinator, has made countless bouquets for over 50 years.
She’s made one for each granddaughter, with a piece of her own wedding dress sewn around the stem.
I’m quite certain, the women of this family couldn’t be sweeter.
Holly is one of 5 girls.
Louisa May Alcott’s “Little Women” is one of my favorite childhood novels.
These sisters made me feel like I’d stepped inside a chapter of that very book.
They love with such joy and loyalty. It was beautiful to witness.
Sisters.
It was an honor and privilege to photograph your beautiful day, Holly and Austin.
High five to choosing wisely.
Honoring what you believe.
and
Waiting for a love that will last a lifetime.
Blessings, gratitude and joy,
Kate
