I can hardly believe I only met Colleen & Tyler a few months ago. Their original wedding photographer had a conflict and needed to cancel. Colleen had seen Jess post her engagement images on FB, contacted her and Jess’s referral connected us. When I met with these two, I adored them immediately. We met up at a restaurant, they flashed a smile as they walked toward me. Colleen is warm and remarkably kind. When you meet her, you feel like you’ve known her for ages. Tyler is very similar. He wasn’t shy, but engaged in conversation, telling their love story without reservation. He kept looking at her and smiling widely while we talked. She sat by his side, held his arm and leaned forward in conversation. These are two people you’d want to be friends with.
Their wedding was held at The Laurel in Grapevine, TX. The weather had been rainy for weeks, so I came prepared with clear umbrellas for their large wedding party, simultaneously praying that The Lord would hold the rain. Which, is exactly what He did.
Mr. and Mrs. Rittenhouse, I’m listening to The Greatest Showman soundtrack as I write this. On cue, this song came on just now, and it seems like the perfect way to wrap up your wedding.
