I woke up early on Friday, October 27, feeling chilly. It’s been an unusually warm fall here in Texas, the day before had been in the 80’s. I checked the temperature: it was calling for a high of 51. Which for warm loving Texans is practically freezing! My heart sank a bit. I’d photographed Katie’s Bridal Session, I knew her beautiful sheath gown didn’t provide a lot of protection from the elements. I just prayed that the excitement of the day would make her forget the windy chill in the air!
Bundled up, I headed to Aristide early to plan for Katie and Tyler’s first look. This was my first time photographing at Aristide, one of Walters Wedding Estates lovely jewels, nestled in the heart of Flower Mound, TX. Whenever one of my brides tells me she’s getting married at one of these venues, my confidence immediately soars. I know the venue is exquisite and the staff is top notch. Aristide was everything I’d hoped.
That’s not all though. This day was everything I’d hoped it would be for Katie and Tyler. These two couldn’t have been more delightful, more excited, more charming. While the temperature stayed locked at 46 degrees and overcast, Katie and Tyler delivered the kind of first look moments a photographer dreams of. It was a beautiful, heart warming, day!
