One of my favorite moments during the wedding journey with couples is our time together during their engagement session. It’s relaxed and we have a lot more time to be creative than on their wedding day. I get to hear their story, how they fell in love, and what their favorite things are about each other.
I was absolutely fascinated by Emma and Spencer’s story. Emma has lived in so many different countries that I lost count (was it 17 or 18, Emma?). Her mother is from Scotland and that’s where she went to college. Her father’s career took Emma and her twin sister all over the globe and every where she went, Emma always had a horse. Which is true today, Emma’s horse is named Phoenix. A name and story I’ve often identified with.
Spencer is happiest in nature with a fishing pole in his hand. I’d swear he runs a ranch, but instead, he runs a restaurant! His knowledge of culture and fine dining is incredible and I already asked to pick his brain for 2018’s DFW Restaurant Week. Thanks to his recommendations, I plan to enjoy some amazing food this year with my husband:).
I could go on and on about these two, but the pictures speak for themselves. These two are wild about each other and both cannot wait to say “I do” and Chapel Creek Ranch this May!
Emma and Spencer, you guys are real, relaxed and so hospitable. Thanks for sharing who you are with me. I can’t wait to celebrate your marriage, with all your international wedding guests in May!
With gratitude,
Kate
