Where do I begin with Kristen & Brady’s Wedding? I guess with where we met.
Last year, I had the joy and privilege of photographing Katy & Hank‘s Cancun wedding. Katy and Hank had introduced Kristen and Brady, who stood up in their wedding. During the wedding rehearsal, Kristen and I sat next to each other and she told me of how she met and fell in love with Brady. As I listened, I REALLY hoped she’d call me when they got engaged… and I was over-the-moon when she did earlier this year.
Truth is, I’m always intrigued by people and their stories. I love the details. I’ve always asked more questions than others, I don’t mean it to be nosey.
I’m just truly, honestly, absolutely curious.
I love moments. I love people watching and discovering how one moment connects to the next.
I love when people are fun. Real. Transparent.
And… I love when we connect and they share their life with me.
Kristen was all of these things and then some. She was such a “chill” Bride… she trusted me. You cannot imagine as an artist what that means when a Bride hands over the documentation of her wedding day and trusts me to capture it in a way that is real and meaningful to her. No lists and must capture directives. Simply – Kate, do your thing. Wow. I’m grateful… every. single. time.
So, once again, with childlike awe and wonder, I picked up my camera and froze moments in time.

Kasey and Amy, you two ladies amaze me. You are the best example of selflessness in re-marriage that I’ve ever seen.
I cannot state the value in hiring a professional make up artist and hair stylist.
I was remarkably impressed at how Kristen’s make up stayed perfect the entire day, even through the rain.
Megan is an amazing artist, check her out. (She travels ladies!)
